EngCon was selected to install a sanitary lift station and force main to service a previously developed commercial/industrial area in the City of Edmonton.

The lift station was installed in a very restricted area and a unique shoring system needed to be incorporated in order to accomplish the work. The force main paralleled an arterial road and had to cross a freeway (Yellowhead — Highway 16), several pipelines and a large diameter water transmission main. Numerous appurtenances, such as a pig launch station, pig catch station and air release chambers, were installed.

The entire project was located in an existing developed commercial/industrial subdivision, a country residential neighbourhood and paralleled a busy arterial road. When working in the occupied areas EngCon adhered to local by-laws and was understanding and considerate to all businesses and residents.
